Postdoctoral Research Associate - REQID0002182
Regulatory Genomics
The Stowers Institute for Medical Research has an opening for a Postdoctoral Researcher in the lab of Dr. Julia Zeitlinger to study how regulatory DNA sequence controls gene expression programs during embryonic development (visit the Zeitlinger Lab Website for more information). The lab combines cutting-edge multi-omics genomics techniques with interpretable deep learning to address long-standing questions in transcription and development in Drosophila and mouse.
Ideal candidates will be highly innovative and creative individuals able to push and leverage new experimental and computational technology to develop new research directions reflecting their own interests within the field of regulatory genomics. The lab and the research community at the Stowers Institute, which includes technology centers and core facilities, provide a collegial and highly supportive environment to help implement innovative research directions and technologies.
Minimum requirements include a doctoral degree in biology, computer science, or a related field, with demonstrated experience in transcription, genomics, developmental biology or computational biology. The ability to communicate effectively and work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented interdisciplinary environment is essential for this role. Experience in programming, math and data analysis is especially welcome.
