OddPols 2025

The International Conference on Transcription by RNA polymerases I, III, IV, and V

Presented by Stowers Research Conferences
Organized by Paul Trainor, Ph.D., and Jennifer Gerton, Ph.D.

May 29- Jun 012025

Kansas City, MO, USA

From its origin over 25 years ago, the "International Conference on Transcription by RNA polymerases I, III, IV, and V” (OddPols meeting) has attracted scientists from all around the world interested in the study of transcription, ribosome biogenesis, and nucleolar structure and function. Spanning archaea to humans, this interdisciplinary meeting brings together researchers, structural biologists, and clinicians focused on both the fundamental biology of OddPol mediated transcription and ribosome biogenesis, and the etiology and pathogenesis of ribosomopathies, including developmental disorders, neurological diseases, and cancer.

The 2025 meeting will be organized over three and a half days, split into an estimated nine distinct sessions, with opportunities for approximately 50 to 60 talks from attendees of all career levels, covering the breadth of the field.

Abstract submission and registration will open soon. Don’t miss the chance to engage with leading researchers, exchange ideas, and foster collaborations at the forefront of RNA transcription and regulation!

Kansas City may be located in the heart of the country, but it’s certainly not flyover country. Known fondly as the “City of Fountains” and “The Paris of the Plains,” you’ll fall in love with Kansas City’s unique architecture, stunning beauty, and dynamic culture. Thanks to explosive growth in the past decade and a strong sense of Midwest pride, more than 2 million people call Greater Kansas City home, making it one of the top 30 most populated metros in the U.S., situated conveniently between both coasts.
