I hold a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, under the guidance of Dr. Andrea Gamarnik at Fundacion Instituto Leloir (Buenos Aires, Argentina). Currently, in 2024, I have embarked on my postdoctoral journey at the Bazzini Laboratory within the Stowers Institute for Medical Research, under the mentorship of Dr. Ariel Bazzini. My research interest lies around neglected viral tropical diseases, particularly focusing on dengue and Zika virus infections, which present significant challenges in my homeland. These viruses intricately manipulate cellular mechanisms to facilitate their replication while evading innate antiviral defenses. I am deeply committed to unraveling these intricate host-pathogen interactions to uncover novel insights. My ultimate aim is to pinpoint potential targets for the development of innovative antiviral therapies.
